James Belated Birthday Fun

James turned 2 on Aug. 30 which happened to A&M's big day so we put off festivities until everyone was home and settled back in. We had an "Elmo" birthday and it was too much fun. I made Elmo cupcakes and James went nuts when he saw them and the rest of the day he watched them intently and talked to them. He waited patiently until after his birthday dinner to tear into his own personal Elmo cupcake.
Two dozen little Elmos
Awe and wonder at all the Elmos
The happy family

I just couldn't post without a few pics of Ellie. So here they are too.

Grandma is still awfully funny

And here we have our main course for the evening, Chicken Breast stuffed with tomatoes, basil, garlic, and mozzarella cheese. Mmm

It was so much fun and the food was great. James loved his Elmo's and opening presents. He was a tad scary with that toy chainsaw though, what was Grandpa thinking anyway?
Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow.

It's nice when the kids are young and you can get away with just having family over for a birthday party. In a few years, he'll want to invite all his snot nosed friends over. Then you're stuck with wild eyed, sugar filled monsters hellbent on destroying your home. Such a bright future.

Both our boys come running over to the computer to see the cupcakes, I guess they can spot the furry red monster from miles away! Haha!

Hi Net. You sure do a lot better job of celebrating a birthday than what I ever did. Cute cupcakes-cute kids and delicious looking chicken.
