Please note that not all of the Youtube links at the bottom of the clip actually relate to Mike Huckabee.

I've got to agree with Anon. For all of Huckabee's yapping about faith, he comes down on the liberal side of many issues. He raised taxes when he was Governor of Arkansas, he increased government spending, he supported Bush's illegals amnesty plan and he's paroled violent criminals who have gone on to commit other violent crimes. I read yesterday that he paroled more violent criminals than all the other southern states combined. He's not a conservative.

In response to most of the comments I just want to mention that having lived in Arkansas my entire life and under Huckabee's governing until he termed out I might mention that I may know him and his politics a little better than some. He is a conservative whatever else you want to call him and I do believe him to be a Christian which is more than I can say for most politicians. In response to the violent criminal comment her are a few facts:
--The Governor does not have the power to parole any prisoner. That responsibility lies with the parole board.

--The only action that Governor Huckabee took was to file a notice of intent to commute Glen Green's sentence.

--The commutation would have reduced Green's sentence to 181 years, 10 months, and 19 days.

--After the 30-day public hearing period ended, Governor Huckabee decided against commuting Green's sentence.

I am sure this is what you were referring to.
I am thankful that this is a free country and we are all able to express our political views. These are mine, this is my blog and I am sure you will all be promoting your choice for the coming election on your own blogs. I might add that I am not a fan of smear campaigns and will not tolerate nasty comments or jabs. I believe that Huckabee is the best candidate that God has given us and I will be praying for him as long as he is in the race.

I think it interesting that you don't address his tax increases, some 47% as I understand it. Let's ignore the criminal pardons, we'll agree that you are correct. He's still a tax and spend liberal at the end of the day.

The reason I did not comment on the taxes is because I have not researched these accusations to as much length as the others. I plan to, but to be quite honest this issue is not as important to me as many others. These tax allegations may be true and they may not be, but you may want to start researching your facts a little more, you already had to back down once. If it is true that Huckabee raised taxes 47% my gut instinct would say that he was trying to fix the messes of the previous governor that we were all so very fond of (gag), but like I said I really don't know, its not one of the issues I've researched.
I guess since you Mr. Birn are not running for president I will just have to stick with the best candidate I know of. I respect that you have a right to your own opinion. I'm also not a fan of arguing on blogs. So please if you have any more things you'd like to say maybe you'd like to post it on your own blog.

Unfortunately I am not eligible to run for President in 2008. I will however be eligible to run in 2016 and I look forward to receiving your vote.

Say hey to Aaron and Bubbles for me.
