Hello World

James is six mo. today. he is growing and changing so fast. Soon I will have a toddler on my hands. He's starting to be a real show off and he loves attention. So far he only toddles backwards in his walker but I hear this is the norm. I keep waiting for him to hit the age where he will be scared of strangers, but I'm starting to think its not coming. This shouldn't surprise me, I talked to every stranger that came along when I was a kid. Recently he started riding in the shopping cart. This is something he is extremely proud of, he sits there hanging onto the handle for dear life looking around at all of the things he couldn't see from his carrier. Its a big world out there and James is just getting to know it.
I love this one because I think he looks so much like his Auntie Kryna when she was little.
You just can't beat that drool.
See how proud he is of those teeth? This is very similar to what he looks like in the shopping cart.
I think he gets this look from his father. :)

Birthday Fun

Yesterday was Tim's 24th Birthday. He had it all planned out. On Friday he told me that he wanted coffee cake for his birthday breakfast, salad with grilled chicken for lunch and steak for supper. I informed him steak was not an option so he settled on pork chops. Later that day Mom called and offered to take us out on his birthday to his choice of restaurants. He chose Joe's Crab Shack. So last night we headed out to Joe's. It was a real kick in the head. The food was awesome as usual and well my favorite part of the night was the contest. "What contest you ask?" Why, the hoola-hooping contest, of course. Mom snuck off under the pretense of changing James' panty to inform the server of the big day and a few minutes later Tim and some poor lady were hoola-hooping for free desert. Unfortunately Tim lost. He claims he never knew how to hoola-hoop, but do we really believe he never stole his sister's hoop to shake that tushie? I guess after the performance last night we should believe. Very proud of his mail buggy cake. He even helped decorate it.

Ah, the menu. Notice his snazzy new Birthday shirt.
His very cute Birthday Crab hat. (he refuses to keep his eyes open for most pictures, what's a girl to do?)
The Spectacle, complete with cheerleader.
(he does look like he was giving it his all)

I love My Daddy

James is quite taken with his father. They have various games of silliness that they play and James thinks it is all the cat's meow. Last time I was at Target I found a Beatrix Potter Peter Rabbit board book in the $1.00 isle. James thinks Daddy is the best story teller ever.
A couple days ago I plopped James in his walker and settled in for a photo shoot. The only problem now is that there are so many adorable pictures I just can't decide which ones to post.
So stay tuned, I will soon post some pictures and an update on all of his antics.

The Almighty Ab Lounge

Yeah, thats me, see how good I look? Not!

So this year my husband gave me an Ab Lounge for Valentines Day. What did you get? Do you think that was a hint. Subtle huh? No, not really, I had been wanting one for a while. I've been using it a couple of times a day for about a week now. Its actually really fun. Of course I look nothing like Blondie up there but I am getting a lot stronger. Maybe if I give it time I'll look as good as her. Yeah, I'm not counting on it, but a girl can dream. Right? James likes to sit in his Johny Jumper and stare at me like I've gone mad while I use it. I know I'm getting more of a work out than he is. Hmm I think he is still stronger than me, he can balance on his tummy with his hips and chest in the air quite effortlessly. Thats more than I can say ( not that I've really tried. Anyways, I'll keep you posted.

Ironing

Today I ironed. I hate ironing or maybe it is the thought of ironing that I really hate because the act itself really isn't so loathsome, not at least when you are actually doing the task. Whether it be the thought or the actual task the fact remains that I push it off until it is an absolute nessecity. Today I ironed 15 shirts, 1 pair of pants, 6 napkins, and 9 placemats. This took the better part of my day. Generaly we just dewrinkle on demand and this is how we survive, sometimes if I put it off long enough that my husband jumps in to rescue his clothing. I was hoping that maybe Tim as head of the household would decide not to deligate the ironing to me, but not such luck. Now the mountain is gone and I shall go play with my son.

How do you test a new album's worthiness?

Pokey Little Computer

So sorry for the lack of posts in the last few weeks. Our computer is on the fritz so it makes it very hard and no fun. Really, what is blogging if it is no fun? Any way I will be here off and on, pal mal, tumble bumble.
